The month of September started with my last hope of being able to do group rides, to a success of doing a ride over 100k thanks to Drew, to completing the last race in the Federation series, to lots of solo rides including boring HSR and Gold Dome laps, to getting used to riding further and further alone, and finally to the realization and decision that weekends will be for family MAINLY; and what do you know, on the last day of September, it all ended on a good note- A fun, educational, informational, and eye-opening ride with Austin and Dave who were the very first cyclists I rode with in Taizhong back in 2008. I think there is a new direction for me in cycling and it is most definitely prioritized after my family and my health! Thanks so much, Austin and Dave, for this very day of the month that ended on a good note!

  1. Golly, thanks for the props and the link!

That is an impressive stat sheet for the month. I really do need to get a Garmin. 1120km is a very good number. I wish I could get that many km in a month.

Often, the non-training rides are the best rides. It is like being a kid again and going out to play. There is always something new to discover, even on repeat routes.

    Stay healthy and happy!

  2. I thought it wasn't bad considering I rode most of the miles solo. However, 1120 kms must be pretty low considering how much you do your century rides.

I think the non-training rides are the most fun because I enjoy riding so much!
